We never said there were no Russian military in Donbas, - Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged the fact of Russian military presence in the Donbas. At the same time he vehemently denies Russian regular troops there.

He said this answering a question from a journalist who "said hi!" to Putin from GRU operatives "captain Yerofeyev and Sergeant Aleksandrov from the 3rd brigade of Togliatti," Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainska Pravda.

"We never said there were no people there who handled certain issues of the military sector," Putin said.

"But this does not mean that there are Russian regular troops there. Feel the difference," he said.
