 Ex-Minister of Interior Zakharchenko finds cushy job of adviser in State Duma

Former Interior Minister of Ukraine Vitalii Zakharchenko, who is wanted by Ukrainian law enforcers, works as an expert in the Property Committee of State Duma.

Zakharchenko said it to UNIAN correspondent in Russia, Censor.NET informs.

"I didn't quit the Ukrainian citizenship, though I have a Russian passport. There is no contradiction about it. Under the Russian law I am obliged to notify the relevant authorities, the Federal Migration Service that I have a second citizenship," Zakharchenko noted.

In addition, Zakharchenko says he is working as expert in the Property Committee of State Duma, while previously he worked for Rostec state corporation.

"I also run a fund "Southeast," we provide assistance to former Ukrainian citizens and those with the citizenship of Ukraine who were forced to leave its territory," Zakharchenko said.

According to the ex-minister, he is not worried about being wanted, as he treats the Ukrainian authorities "as comrade Zhukov would treat comrade Hitler if the latter declared him wanted. Let them search, it is their right," the fugitive official stated.
