Interior Ministry released video of Saakashvili meeting with Russian businessman Mazepin, which caused squabble with Avakov. VIDEO

Head of Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Artem Shevchenko unveiled video of the meeting between Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili and Russian businessman, owner of URALCHEM Dmitry Mazepin.

Artem Shevchenko posted this video on his page on Facebook on Tuesday, Dec 15. Censor.NET reports.

"This, by the way, is precisely the meeting and negotiations in Odesa between the Regional State Administration head and Russian chemical tycoon, owner of URALCHEM by the name of Mazepin speaking for itself, who has repeatedly evinced interest in participation in privatization of the Odesa port Plant. I wonder why the question about the meeting made Mikheil Nikolozovich so excited yesterday at the meeting of the National Reforms Council and why did he say he did not know whom he talked to," the Interior Ministry spokesperson said.

According to Interfax, Shevchenko told reporters that it was the mention of the meeting that led to the conflict between Saakashvili and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov at the meeting of the National Council of Reforms on Monday, even though the video has been at the disposal of the media for at least a week.

"According to the minister - and I am expressing the Minister's stance regarding the conflict - it was his question to the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration on his meeting with the Russian chemical oligarch Mazepin, although photos and videos had already been available for over a week then, according to the minister, this question to the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration caused such emotions," Shevchenko noted.
