"Russia no longer dictates its gas rules to Ukraine. We've got this monkey off our back. We have launched a reverse flow, kicked out all the middlemen from Naftohaz. We have no agreements where the Ukrainian oligarchs are present. Now we have deals with transparent European suppliers. When we took office, the gas price was $500, now it's $250. It's more profitable to buy gas from our European partners. Our goal is to increase the production of own gas in a decade. After 10 years, Ukraine will be able to completely do without imported gas. Moreover, it will be able to export gas itself," he said.

Yatseniuk also said Naftohaz would not be subsidized from the state budget in 2016.
