Two soldiers killed, seven wounded in IFV mine tripping near Donetsk airport, - volunteer Mysiahin

A Ukrainian IFV of the 93rd brigade tripped a landmine near the Donetsk airport, killing two soldiers.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by volunteer Yurii Mysiahin on Facebook.

He noted: "Today [Dec. 9 - ed.] the positions of the 1st battalion of the 93rd brigade were fired at by a tank from behind the old terminal of the Donetsk airport. Yes, you heard it right - our positions were shelled with a tank.

"This is not for the first time. At the same time, a mortar located behind a dirt pile was firing at them.

"At that moment our guys left the position at an IFV to the road that is being taken by someone every day.

"They tripped a landmine after passing Opytne village. The explosion was so powerful that the IFV was torn into pieces.

"We have two persons killed, callsign Malysh and Iraklii Kutelia. Sever received wounds. Two guys refused to go to hospital.

"Several days ago separatists boasted two tanks and four IFVs at the takeoff runway of the second terminal.

"The [Ukrainian - ed.] military asked to fire anti-tank guided missiles, but were refused," the volunteer summed up.
