"Privatization was voted down 10th time! Split-up continues!" - Abromavicius commented on voting in parliament

Tuesday, Dec. 8, Ukrainian lawmakers have once again voted down the legislation of the bill No.2319a, which should kick off the privatization of major facilities.

Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius wrote on Twitter, Censor.NET reports.

"The privatization [bill] was voted down for the 10th time! Vidrodzhennia faction (Vitalii Homutynnik) - 0 votes, Oposition bloc - 0, Lyashko Radical party - 0. The split-up continues!" Abromavicius wrote.

The government bill envisages amendments to the privatization process, in particular the abolition of the compulsory sale of 5-10% of the shares of strategic state-owned enterprises on the stock exchanges during their privatization.
