Saakashvili accused Yatseniuk's government of corruption

Head of Odesa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili accused the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine headed by Arsenii Yatseniuk, as well as the country's major businessmen of large-scale corruption.

Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

During his speech at the anti-corruption forum in Odesa on Sunday, Saakashvili said that a total of $5 billion is spent in Ukraine over corruption schemes annually. State-owned enterprises lose about $120 billion in profits and earnings.

"The National Bank, the government, and some party bosses participate in it," he said.

In particular, Ukrainian businessman Renat Akhmetov earns more than $2 billion over railway transportation schemes. Ukraine loses about $ 700 million per year because of schemes by ex-People's Front MP Mykola Martynenko, who has recently resigned his deputy's mandate.

Saakashvili added that the owner of Privat group Ihor Kolomoiskyi deprives the state of $2-2.5 billion yearly through Privatbank and Ukrnafta.

The state loses about $500 million because of the schemes organized by Dmytro Firtash, Saakashvili said. According to his information, the Cabinet intends to "return" Firtash $200 million in the nearest future.
