 Center for training medical officers under NATO standards starts operating in Krasnoarmiisk, - Defense Ministry

The center for training military doctors, health workers, and combat medics under Tactical Combat Casualty Care program, which is used by the armed forces of NATO member countries, begin operating in the 66th mobile military hospital subordinate to the Eastern operational command.

Chief surgeon of the Western region, Medical Corps Colonel Ivan Bohdan said during a working meeting with Commander of the operational command East Major-General Serhii Naiev, Censor.NET informs citing the press service of the Defense Ministry

According to Colonel Ivan Bohdan, the military doctors of the Western Region were studying the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) over a year after which they received accreditation in the United States. A group of Ukrainian trainers have also been qualified in the U.S. under this system. They have recently left for Krasnoarmiisk with study guides, training mannequins and equipment. The trainers will conduct classes for military doctors, health workers and combat medics under to Tactical Combat Casualty Care program at the 66th mobile military hospital.

According to Col. Ivan Bohdan, these classes are aimed to teach as many servicemen as possible to provide skillful pre-hospital care on the battlefield, because timely help allows not only save lives of the wounded but also preserve their quality of life after recovery.

This training is supported by the U.S. National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and the World Federation of Ukrainian Medical Societies in the United States, whose head Roksolana Horbova has also attended the meeting.
