Ukraine ready to renew power supplies to Crimea, Poroshenko says

The EU will extend sanctions against the Russian Federation for another six months and grant visa-free regime to Ukraine. The West is serious about the possibility of Russian military attack against Turkey. Besides, Poroshenko sees no alternative to the Minsk agreement.

This was announced by President Petro Poroshenko at his meeting with journalists and political experts, OstroV's Editor-in-Chief Serhii Harmash wrote in his blog, Censor.NET reports.

Harmash wrote that the following was said by the president.

The matter of the EU sanctions against the Russian Federation for another six months is almost decided, Poroshenko believes.

"The conflict between Russia and Turkey is deepening. Russia did not want to see Turkey's conciliatory gestures. We are on the brink of global geopolitical risks. The West is serious about the possibility of Russian military attack against Turkey," Harmash wrote citing the president.

Harmash also expressed his personal judgement about the meeting with Poroshenko: "Personally, I felt he was sincere. He was keeping something back, but never lying. He knows the situation in the politicum, but is not always able to feel the public sentiment. It was informative."
