 Foreign Ministry disapproves of Putin's visit to Crimea, files note of protest

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has filed a note of protest to its Russian counterpart in the wake of yesterday's unagreed visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

"Once again we emphasize that the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol are and will remain an integral part of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. This fact is recognized by the whole world which gave a proper assessment of the actions of the Russian side and continues to implement appropriate restrictive measures.

"Therefore, Kremlin's attempts to interpret these uncoordinated visits to Ukraine as domestic trips are worthless," the ministry noted.
