 Poroshenko offers assistance in construction of Lithuania-Poland gas pipeline

During the meeting with Prime Minister of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevičius in Vilnius, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko came up with a proposal on the participation of Ukrainian companies in the construction of GIPL pipeline between Lithuania and Poland.

As reported, Poroshenko and Butkevičius discussed prospects of constructing new gas pipelines in order to supply gas to Ukraine from Klaipėda LNG terminal. In this context, the president came up with a proposal on participation of Ukrainian companies in the construction of GIPL pipeline between Lithuania and Poland.

"The parties considered the opportunities of further expansion of bilateral cultural and educational exchange as well as implementation of new humanitarian projects," the statement notes.
