 4,000 employees dismissed under prosecutor's office reform, - Poroshenko

President Poroshenko has announced the completion of trials against 40 prosecutors as well as the dismissal of 4,000 prosecutor's office employees.

He said this during during the presentation of Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Nazar Kholodnytskyi, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"Since February this year alone, legal actions against 40 prosecutors have been started and completed," the president said.

According to him, 61 prosecutors have been convicted of corruption over the past six years. Poroshenko also noted that some 4,000 employees have recently been laid off as part of prosecutor's office reform, with the number of district prosecutors' offices having been reduced.
