EU hopes for better after consultations with Russia on EU-Ukraine Free Trade Area

The European Commission notes the lack of progress in the last round of consultations with Russia.

The European Commission does not exclude that the final consultations between Ukraine, Russia, and the EC regarding Moscow's concern about the introduction on Jan. 1, 2016 of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area between Ukraine and the EU could bring zero result. This conclusion is based on the words of Deputy Head of the Eastern Partnership Bilateral Division, European External Action Service Adriano Martins. The last round of consultations is to be held on Tuesday in Brussels at ministerial level, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.

According to Martins, the EU hopes for better, but does not rule out it will take time before the moment arrives.
