"This morning, the commission received the decision of the Dnipropetrovsk administrative court of appeal, which upheld the decision of the Dnipropetrovsk district administrative court on the election results in Kryvyi Rih. The corresponding ruling upheld trial court's decision which rejected a claim by one of the candidates for the post of Kryvyi Rih mayor," Okhendovskyi said.
According to him, the court found that all 20 alleged claims were not supported by appropriate evidence, and thus, according to the CEC, "the issue is already tackled legally."
Okhendovskyi also said an appeal which concerns trial court's ruling on the recounting of votes at the 21st special polling station still remained with the Dnipropetrovsk administrative court of appeal.
"The court is expected to decide on the issue today or tomorrow, but nevertheless it is possible to say there is an effective ruling, which confirms the legality of Kryvyi Rih mayor election results. And now we can state that all that happened around this election from political point of view was nothing more than an attempt of rigging the vote," the official said.
