Ukrainian culture center activist Veldar Shukurdzhyiev was detained by Russian border guards Wednesday night at the administrative border between Ukraine and Russia-occupied Crimea.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by human right organization Krym SOS on Facebook.

It is announced that Shukurdzhyiev was returning home and passed through Ukrainian border guards without problem.

"Russian border guards did not allow Shukurdzhyiev to the peninsula, having detained him "until the circumstances are clarified." His belongings and documents have been taken away from him," the message reads.
