 Ukraine supplied $765 mln in goods and services to occupied Crimea in 2015, 45% of it being electricity, - Economy Minister Abromavicius

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade says the overall supply of goods and services from mainland Ukraine to the territory of Russia-annexed Crimea has made $765 mln since the beginning of 2015.

This was announced by Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius at a press conference, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"We have supplied a lot [of goods and services - ed.] to Crimea since the beginning of the year, before the blockade started on Sept. 20. If I'm not mistaken, it totaled the amount of $765 mln, 45% of which is electricity, all the rest being sugar and other groceries," the minister said.

According to Abromavicius, the Cabinet of Ministers has held a discussion today with the participation of media on possible repair and restoration of one of the 220 MW power lines.

Abromavicius added that Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk had instructed the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to develop ideas concerning trade relations with Crimea for their further consideration by the government .
