 People commemorating heroes of Heavenly Hundred outraged by law enforcers blocking Instytutska street

The police blocked traffic on Instytutska street in Kyiv, which caused outrage among the people who came to commemorate the participants of the Maidan protests killed in course of the Revolution of Dignity in early 2014.

On Saturday, the Day of Dignity and Freedom, people who came to honor the memory of those killed on Maidan were outraged by the law enforcement officers who blocked the approach to the Memorial Cross of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred on Instytutska Str. near Zhovtnevyi Palace in Kyiv.

Several dozens of people started arguing with the police, complaining loudly, and slightly rocking the metal fence built by the law enforcers.

About 150 people who wanted to lay flowers gathered at the memorial.

People expressed discontent, shouting "Down with the Gang!" and "Shame!"
