 Seventh round of mobilization may start in March 2016, - General Staff

The next, seventh round of partial mobilization may begin in March 2016, but the final decision is to be taken by the president of Ukraine - supreme commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

This was stated by Chief of Personnel at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lt.-Gen. Ihor Voronchenko at a briefing in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports referring to Ukrinform.

"It's awaited in February or March. Most likely, in March," he said, answering the question about the expected dates of a new round of partial mobilization.

According to the general, estimates and forecast for personnel figure are currently underway. However, he noted that significantly fewer persons than in the previous rounds will be conscripted in the coming draft.

The representative of the General Staff also said that nearly 18-20,000 persons will be hired for military service under contract next year, but "the more the better." He noted that this can be done only if the motivational factors will be "matched with current demands."
