Presidential Administration: EC to report on Ukraine’s readiness for visa-free regime until Dec. 15, offering strong hope for positive developments

The European Commission is going to submit a report on the implementation of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan with the EU by the Ukrainian side before Dec. 15.

Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Kostiantyn Yelisieiev said, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"We will actively cooperate with the European Commission to facilitate the preparation of the positive findings in the relevant report planned to be submitted to member states and the European Parliament before Dec. 15," Yelisieiev said.

He noted that the hope for the EU's positive decision on the visa liberalization has significantly grown after the Verkhovna Rada successfully voted for the so-called "visa-free package of laws".

"Now we need to adopt certain agency-level documents in the time still available and try to get the process of implementation of the taken decisions underway. In particular, it would be good to envisage funds for operation of the created bodies and agencies in the draft budget for 2016," the deputy head of the Presidential Administration said.
