Moscow to impose embargo on Ukrainian products from Jan. 1, - Economy Ministry of Russia

The Russian government once again threatens a grocery embargo against the Ukrainian side.

According to Economic Development Minister Alexey Ulyukaev, the Russian government has decided to introduce from Jan. 1 an embargo on Ukraine's groceries, Censor.NET reports citing TASS.

"Since Ukraine joined the sanctions against the Russian Federation - economic, financial, we have decided to resort to protective measures in the form of food embargo. The decision is just delayed until Jan.1," he said.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called the embargo threats a trade war against Ukraine.

At the same time, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine believes that the Russian embargo on Ukrainian products will more affect the Russians themselves.
