Head of the Special Investigations Directorate of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine Serhii Horbatiuk said at the briefing, Censor.NET informs citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.
As explained by Horbatiuk, Roman Senyk, Serhii Nigoyan, and Mykhailo Zhyznievskyi were fired at from a distance of about three meters, while the law enforcers were at a distance of about 30 meters from the protesters, which greatly complicated the investigation.
The investigators considered the version about disguised law enforcement officers or agent-provocateurs amongst the protesters.
The bullet that was discovered in the body of Roman Senyk is used by the law enforcement agencies to stop vehicles. Although there were no bullets found in the body of Mykhailo Zhyznievskyi, the expert examination evidenced that he was killed by the same type of bullet.
It is known that Serhii Nigoyan was killed by a case-shot bullet.
"We have not solved the crimes but considerably narrowed the circle of suspects ... We believe that we will succeed," Horbatiuk said.
He also noted that the circle of suspects in the murder of Roman Senyk, Serhii Nigoyan, and Mykhailo Zhyznievskyi had been significantly narrowed.
