 Trial against "diamond" prosecutor Korniiets postponed until Nov. 19 through suspect's hospitalization

The Pechersk district court of Kyiv has postponed the hearing of the case against former deputy prosecutor of the Kyiv region Oleksandr Korniiets, suspected in obtaining undue profit and extortion, until Nov. 19 due to his hospitalization.

This was announced by judge Larysa Tsokol, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrainski Novyny.

The court session will start at 4:30 p.m.

According to lawyers, Korniiets was hospitalized with a hypertensive crisis.

At the same time, prosecutors insisted that the suspect should be brought to the courtroom while the judge acknowledged Korniiets' cause as reasonable.

According to her, the suspect must attend the hearing after treatment. As previously reported, the court postponed the hearing of changing the measure of restraint for Korniiets until Nov. 17.
