 Yatseniuk proposes to establish international anti-corruption mission: "EU and US could send their law enforcers in Ukraine"

Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk considers it necessary to establish an international anti-corruption mission in 2016-2018.

He stated this during Preventing.Fighting.Acting international anti-corruption conference, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"I am seeking your support in the need to establish a permanent international anti-corruption mission for the next two years," the prime minister said.

He noted that the countries of the European Union and the United States could have sent law enforcement officers to Ukraine, who would have committed themselves to assist the Ukrainian colleagues in the organization of the fight against corruption as well as investigation into certain cases of corruption.

According to Yatseniuk, the members of the mission might have opened criminal cases abroad regarding the acts of corruption committed beyond the borders of Ukraine.

He also added that the members of the anti-corruption mission would have had access to the databases of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the National Bureau of Investigation.
