 Poroshenko strengthens security measures in ATO area as terrorists' attacks intensify

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko paid special attention to raising of combat readiness of the State Border Service of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front line in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area at a meeting with security officials on Saturday.

President Poroshenko stressed that terrorists' attacks intensified dramatically along the line of collision, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the president.

Thus, Poroshenko instructed to introduce an enhanced security regime in the ATO zone.

The president also noted the importance of ensuring security during the elections to be held this Sunday.

"We need to coordinate actions to prevent anyone from breaking the electoral process," the president said.

Poroshenko noted he did not intend to abandon plans to take part in the International Climate Conference, which is scheduled in Paris on Nov. 29. "Neither France, nor Ukraine will be intimidated by the international terrorism, and we are determined to fight all of its manifestations. This is not France's problem, this is the problem for the whole world," he added.
