Russia hatches large-scale provocation against Ukraine to quit Minsk process, - ATO HQ

In order to distract the attention of Russia's population from the tragic events in Syria, with the Russian Federation being responsible for the numerous civilian casualties there, the country's leadership is preparing a large-scale provocation against Ukraine.

This was announced at a briefing by Presidential Administration representative on ATO matters, Colonel Andrii Lysenko, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, with this provocation Russia intends to discredit the leadership of Ukraine, obtain a reason for filing a lawsuit against the country to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, as well as to have a motive for quitting the Minsk process.

"They plan to use fake evidence of the so-called "Ukraine's genocide of the Russian-speaking population of the Donbas." In particular, documents are being prepared about the alleged destruction by Ukrainian military of about 400 houses and killing 500 people (including women, children, and the elderly) in the village of Sokolniki (Luhansk region) which is currently located in the temporarily occupied territory near the demarcation line," Lysenko said.

The preparation involves Russia's FSB, GRU, Investigative Committee officers, as well as representatives of the so-called "LPR law enforcement." The propagandists use real facts of destruction in Sokolniki and death of its residents who in reality suffered at the hands of militants and Russian troops during hostilities in late 2014 - early 2015.

According to Lysenko, a psychological treatment of the local population is there as well, as occupants are trying to persuade people to "evidence" in favor of Russia.
