 Deterioration of security situation in Donbas key issue of meeting in Minsk Nov. 17, - MP Iryna Herashchenko

Violation of the cease-fire in the east of Ukraine by the Russia-controlled militants will be one of the main topics of the next meeting in Minsk.

Petro Poroshenko Bloc MP, Presidential Commissioner for the peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbas Iryna Herashchenko told reporters on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada, Censor.NET informs citing the press service of the political force.

"Unfortunately, we have observed the cease-fire deterioration in recent weeks. We record multiple cases," Herashchenko said.

According to her, the recent reports of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, which still cannot record the complete withdrawal of weapons by the militants, raise great concerns as well.

"These alarming signals significantly worsen the security situation in the east. There is evidence of attacks not only against civilians but also against checkpoints. This will be a key issue in Minsk during the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (to resolve situation in the Donbas - Ed.) and four of its working groups," the MP said.

She reminded that the next meeting will be held in Minsk Nov. 17.
