This was announced by press officer of the Ukrainian Army General Staff Oleksii Mazepa on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel, Censor.NET reports.
"The plane was completely operable. The pilot was duly trained. At the moment, we have no version to explain why this happened," Mazepa said of the crash.
It was reported earlier that the Ukraine Air Forces plane Su-25 crashed in the Zaporizhia region on Wednesday, Nov. 11, killing the pilot.
The tragedy occurred 40 km north to Zaporizhia at 10 a.m. during a scheduled training flight.
The pilot, born in 1992, was killed, no civilian casualties suffered.
The Ministry of Defense also informed that a search and rescue team was operating onsite. The reasons and circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
