More than 40 mines hit Ukrainian troops' positions in Shyrokyne last night, no return fire delivered. VIDEO

Ukrainian troops' positions in Shyrokyne village have been covered with 82-mm mortars.

Censor.NET reports citing 5 Channel.

Ukraine's defenders complain they can not return fire on militants, as the mortars were withdrawn from the contact line as early as last week.

Despite the cease-fire and terrorists' allegations about removal of mortars, Ukrainian troops' positions in Shyrokyne were hit with some four dozens enemy mines last night.

Ukrainian servicemen have no doubt: the enemy provokes a retaliation. However, they follow the order and only record the attacks.

Militants not only open fire, they also actively scout the area, soldiers say. They also suggest that militants disguise themselves as locals, because Shyrokyne can only be accessed by civilians from the territory controlled by illegal armed groups.

Soldiers say that despite the withdrawal of heavy weapons they are not going to leave the strategic heights on Mariupol's fringes.

As previously reported, a Ukrainian fighter was gravely injured in one of the enemy's attacks in the vicinity of the Donetsk airport on Tuesday.
