European Commission explains postponement of “visa-free regime” meeting: "It is not connected to parliament’s failure to adopt necessary laws"

The meeting of senior officials on visa liberalization with the European Union scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 10, was postponed at the request of the European side.

UNIAN reports citing the European Commission, Censor.NET informs.

The EC representative said that the parties agreed to postpone the meeting. The agency's interlocutor noted that this took place at the initiative of the European side because of "changes in the schedule".

According to a source in the EC, the meeting was postponed due to the fact that the head of the EC Delegation was in Turkey while the Ukrainian side received the request for the postponement earlier this month.

According to the source, it was not connected to the fact that the Verkhovna Rada failed to adopt the necessary laws.
