Governor Tuka set to close Stanytsia Luhanska crossing point as situation deteriorates

In order to meet numerous requests from Luhansk region residents, a crossing point to terrorist-controlled territory was opened in Stanytsia Luhanska. However, militants' actions may lead to its closure in the near future.

Censor.NET reports citing head of Luhansk regional military and civil administration Heorhii Tuka's Facebook page.

"As I promised, following numerous requests by residents of the Luhansk region, I ordered to open a crossing point in Stanytsia Luhanska which is now used by some 1,800 people each day. There is a market, a banking outlet, and transport - all working well. However, from the first day I said: the main thing is peace and safety!" he wrote.

According to Tuka, at the moment he sees another violation of truce by terrorists: "Yesterday they shelled Popasna, today - Bolotiane."

"I have repeatedly said there is no trust in the bastards occupying Ukraine. The events of recent days prove my words: there is shelling each day. While we are taking great efforts to restore peace and develop our land, "monkeys with grenades" carry out attacks, violating all agreements," Tuka noted.

He also adds he does not want to cause unnecessary troubles to peaceful population, however telling civilians he is set to close Stanytsia Luhanska crossing point in response to militants' actions. "I will inform you in advance of my decision. At least, 24 hours before the closure," Tuka wrote.
