If we do not pay civil servants properly, state apparatus will collapse in six months, – Saakshvili

If Ukrainian civil servants do not get decent salaries, the state machine will not last longer than six months.

Head of the Odesa regional state administration Mikheil Saakshvili said on Channel 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"The state apparatus will collapse in six months if we really don't start paying the civil servants properly," he said.

According to him, the Ukrainian state apparatus has virtually collapsed already.

"It has already lost its prestige. The civil servants cannot even steal because the funds do not make it to the budget. They get stolen before," he added.

"If we don't have a breakthrough in customs over the next five or six months, if we do not seal the 'black holes', cut taxes, and raise tax revenues,.. the state apparatus will collapse... It will collapse completely. There will be a paralysis of the authorities," Saakashvili concluded.
