 Ukraine ready for possible cessation of gas deliveries from Russia, - Energy Minister Demchyshyn

The energy minister is confident that the volume of purchased gas will allow Ukraine to pass through heating season without difficulties.

He said during "question hour" in the parliament, Censor.NET informs citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"There are certainly two threats including possibility of force majeure in gas deliveries from the Russian Federation, which we are also ready and fully prepared to," Demchyshyn said.

According to Volodymyr Demchyshyn, Ukraine has purchased one billion cubic meters of gas more this year before the cold season compared to last year.

"I am sure that we will pass through the heating season without any unexpected situations with this volume," he said.
