 "Interior Ministry personnel evaluation starts today," - Minister Avakov. PHOTOS

Police re-evaluation is one of the steps to reform the entire Interior Ministry.

Interior Ministry board's meeting that took place today, Nov. 5, considered the process of re-evaluation of the heads of regional police departments as well as of all police officers willing to serve in the ranks of the National Police. The meeting was attended by the heads of Interior Ministry structural divisions and territorial bodies.

Interior Minister Arsen Avakov introduced new head of the National Police of Ukraine Khatia Dekanoidze while noting that Nov. 7 the police authority should start working.

"Interior Ministry personnel evaluation starts today. The Central Evaluation Commission will seat today for the first time to discuss the principle of formation of regional evaluation commissions, after which the first evaluation session will start," Arsen Avakov said.

According to the minister, the current heads of territorial divisions will undergo "double check": after assessment, appointment order is to be signed by the head of the National Police as agreed upon with the interior minister. After that, the heads of regional departments will be temporarily appointed as advisers to the head of the National Police.
