In the near future, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be provided with up-to-date domestic missile systems which will replace OTR-21 Tochka.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by Ukraine's ground forces deputy commander, Maj. Gen. Viacheslav Horbylev on air of 5 Channel.

"We have one missile brigade. At present, its condition is fine, it is ready to fulfill tasks. It is located in the areas defined by senior command," he said.

When asked whether Ukraine has enough missile systems, the general said: "There is always a need for more. We are working on it. Give us a bit more time."

He also added that Ukrainian missile systems are being actively developed at present.

"Today, developments are underway in this direction [missile systems - ed.]. There are good results. We expect to have our own advanced missile systems soon, which will replace OTR-21 Tochka," Horbylev stated.
