Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov said, Censor.NET reports citing the NSDC press service.
According to him, it is not the first time when the Russian occupation troops want to disrupt Minsk peace accords by their actions.
"But in contrast to previous provocations, the fire was aimed and of high intensity, having hurt five soldiers," Oleksandr Turchynov said.
The NSDC secretary said that if militants did not cease committing provocations, the process of weapons withdrawal would be stopped.
"In case of further provocative actions by the Russian invaders that threaten the lives and security of the Ukrainian military and civilians, the weapons and military equipment will be immediately returned to their initial positions, while the Ukrainian military will act in accordance with the existing threats posed by the Russian invaders," Oleksandr Turchynov said.
