 Half million hryvnia stolen by unknown individuals from cash transit car in Boryspil, - Interior Ministry

Unknown individuals have stolen 1.5 million hryvnia (about $62,500) from the vehicle of the state owned postal communication enterprise Ukrposhta in Boryspil (Kyiv region).

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the press service of the Interior Ministry.

"The cash transit car owned by Ukrposhta SE was rammed by black Audi on one of the streets in the city of Boryspil. An unknown individual came out of the car carrying an object that looked like an assault rifle. He broke the glass of the cash transit car and took away a bag of money. The attackers escaped to an undisclosed location after that," the statement reads.

The incident took place on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 6:30 p.m.

The police are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident and conduct search operations in order to identify and arrest the persons involved in the crime.

The operation to intercept the perpetrators is underway in the territory of the Kyiv region.
