Searches at journalists' homes is another violation of human rights in occupied Crimea, - Poroshenko

President Poroshenko says searches at journalist Lilia Budzhurova's place and at homes of employees of ATR TV channel in the Russian-annexed Crimea is a revenge by Russian authorities for their position.

Censor.NET reports citing Poroshenko's Facebook page.

He said: "I consider it unacceptable to prosecute Ukrainian journalists in the occupied Crimea. Searches at famous Crimean Tatar journalist Lilia Budzhurova's place as well as at homes of employees of ATR TV channel is another example of violation of human rights on the peninsula and another attempt to revenge on our citizens who retain their dignity and do not accept Crimea's occupation.

"It is also a blatant negligence of the Joint Statement by 36 states on the situation in the sphere of human rights in the temporarily occupied Crimea declared on Oct. 30 in the framework of the 70th UN General Assembly, which I took efforts to introduce."
