Law firm caused 2 bln UAH damage to state in fugitive MP Kliuiev’s interests, - MP Chornovol

Draft law on establishment of the Ukrainian National Agency for the Investigation and Disposal of Assets, currently considered at the Verkhovna Rada, is lobbied by representative of the regime of ex-president Viktor Yanukovych - Serhii Kliuiev.

This was announced by MP Tetiana Chornovol at a press conference in UNIAN, Censor.NET reports.

"The bill was developed by Petrenko's [Minister of Justice Pavlo Petrenko - ed.] deputy Anton Yanchuk, who is Arzinger's representative, and Deputy Prosecutor General Vitalii Kasko - another Arzinger's associate," Chornovol wrote.

"Kasko even led the interdepartmental commission on asset recovery. Maybe this is the reason we have lacked success in this field. In fact, how Arzinger could seize the assets of "former ones," if the "former ones" are dear customers of the law firm?" the MP said.

"Working for Arzinger, Kasko and Yanchuk developed the bill as "volunteers." Accordingly, this bill is Arzinger's brainchild... This company, which protected Kliuiev's corrupt schemes, is now writing bills and establishing a national agency that supposedly should seize corrupt money from its clients," Chornovol emphasized.
