This was announced by Gazprom head Alexey Miller, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"In October, Gazprom's exports to the non-CIS [countries] rose by 41.36 percent year-to-year. Growth rate for the demand for Russian gas increased by 1.8 times. Let me remind that in July, the demand growth was 22.4 percent, in August - 23.16 percent, and in September 24.23 percent," he said.

"At the same time, Ukraine cut its consumption of Russian gas by nearly 67 percent due to financial deficit of Naftohaz Ukrainy company, effective November. Prepaid gas will only suffice for five days," he said.
Naftohaz Ukrainy planned to buy 2 bcm of gas from Gazprom in October, transferring about $500 million in payment. In order to get through the heating season, Ukraine's PM Yatseniuk said earlier, the country needs to buy additional 5 bcm of gas.
