 70% of protocols processed in Kyiv: Klitschko wins 36.34%, Bereza - 8.79%, Omelchenko - 8.74%

The Kyiv territorial election commission has counted about 70% of the protocols.

The latest update on Kyiv mayoral election shows that 36.34 percent of voters have supported Petro Poroshenko Bloc candidate Vitalii Klitschko, 8.79 percent - Verkhovna Rada deputy Boryslav Bereza, 8.74 percent - Yednist candidate Oleksandr Omelchenko, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

As of 3 a.m., Oct. 30, the territorial election commission has processed the data from 49 precincts of the Pechersk district, 87 precincts of the Holosiivskyi district, 138 - of the Desnianskyi, 136 - of the Darnytsia, 105 - of the Shevchenko, 74 - of the Podil, and 127 - of the Sviatoshyn (in total 585,983 votes).

According to the tallies, 212,921 Kyiv residents voted for Klitschko, 51,526 - for Bereza, and 51,198 - for Omelchenko.

In addition, Samopomich candidate Serhii Husovskyi wins 7.5 percent (43,991 votes), Batkivshchyna candidate Volodymyr Bondarenko - 7.7 percent (45,289 votes), and Opposition bloc candidate Oleksandr Puzanov - 3.89 percent (22,739 votes).

According to the Central Election Commission, a total of 891,750 voters took part in mayoral election in Kyiv.
