In the morning of Oct. 30, at around 4 a.m., the explosions in Svatove stopped. This was announced by Head of the State Emergency Service Mykola Chechotkin on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, an interdepartmental control HQ started operating at 7 a.m. this morning.
"The town has been divided into sectors in order to conduct search for the killed and help those affected."
"I know that at around 4 a.m. the explosions at the ammunition storage stopped. At the moment, aerial reconnaissance is being conducted. At 7 a.m., an interdepartmental control HQ for emergency response started operating, and more information will be available after its meeting," Chechotkin said.
A pyrotechnic unit left for Svatove yesterday along with the emergency response service, which arrived from Kharkiv.
200 personnel members and 70 units of equipment of the State Emergency Service are operating in the accident area.
