AutoMaidan activists to arrive to Poroshenko’s estate Saturday demanding to dismiss Shokin: "He hampers fight against corruption and visa-free regime with EU"

A motor rally will get underway in Kyiv on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. Its destination will be the house of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, where the activists are going to demand dismissal of Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin.

The AutoMaidan activists wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET informs.

"The activists have repeatedly drawn public attention to the fact that Viktor Shokin impedes reforms in the Prosecutor's Office and the establishment of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. The representatives of the U.S. and EU have also expressed their dissatisfaction by the efforts of Viktor Shokin regarding the fight against corruption! Unfortunately, the president has not still responded properly to public and diplomats' criticism. Therefore, it becomes obvious that the fight against corruption in Ukraine and the liberalization of visa regime with the EU are hampered by Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin with the tacit consent of the President of Ukraine," the statement reads.

It is noted that the rally will be launched from the parking outside Tsarske Selo restaurant in Kyiv at 11 a.m. (Crossing of Lavrska Street and Volunteer Battalions Street).
