In particular, he said that the Interior Ministry would check the situation around the scandalous mayoral election in Pavlohrad.

"I must now respond to the requests of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine, NGO Opora, people's deputies regarding the cancellation of the second round of the Pavlohrad mayoral election, approved by the Central Election Commission," Avakov said.

"We qualify this decision as a violation of both the electoral rights of citizens and the law on local elections," he said.

Avakov also said that the bribery of voters was conclusively recorded in the Cherkasy region.

"This case will be taken to court in the next two or three days, and I hope this will be the country's first trial in a voter fraud case with a corresponding verdict by court," the minister said.
