Infamous ex-deputy prosecutor of the Kyiv region Oleksandr Korniiets has run into huge debts at odds with his official salary.

Censor.NET columnist Serhii Ivanov writes in his blog.

"Korniiets' was keen on borrowing money. Big money. Here is the loan agreement of Jan. 15 last year, according to which Korniiets borrowed $450,000 from a private individual who wished to remain anonymous. According to the agreement, Korniiets was obliged to pay monthly $18,750, which is an unaffordable sum for a family of public employees," Ivanov wrote and published the relevant debt instruments.

"In addition, Korniiets as a public employee also had an attempt in the field of real estate development, planning to take part in the construction of an apartment building on Zhuravlyna Street in Kyiv. To this end, March 30, 2012, he, having already borrowed a fortune from banks, took a loan of $250,000 from citizen K. The term of the contract was only one year. It is unclear how Korniiets planned to cover the debt," the journalist added.
