"The court lifted seizure from "Kurchenko's oil" because Rosneft had purchased it... The document is on the website of purchases of Rosneft. It is eloquent that the influential circles in Ukraine are working for the Russian fuel monster, which petrodollars keep Putin's regime afloat," she wrote.
Commenting on the decision of the Pechersk district court in Kyiv to withdraw the attachment from "Kurchenko's oil", Chornovol noted that this was not the first such case.
"June 19, 2015, the Pechersk court also discharged attachment from "Kurchenko's oil" seized by Interrior Ministry from the tank farm in Vasylkiv. By the way, it was the oil that has been almost fully delivered to the army (17,000 out of 20,000 tones)," the Verkhovna Rada deputy wrote.
Ukraine, in contrast to the United States, did not impose sanctions against Rosneft, which allowed Ukrainian companies to participate in tenders of the company and its subsidiaries. Thus, the Ukrainian law firm Arzinger submitted a bid to the subsidiary of Rosneft TNK-Ukraine Industries during the tragedy in Ilovaisk and won it October 10, 2014.
"And it didn't matter that the subject of the contract contrasted sharply with Ukraine's public interest: the private firm committed itself to lift the attachment from "Kurchenko's oil" and annul the claims of the tax authorities to the subsidiary of Rosneft to pay 40 million hryvnia of unpaid taxes to the Ukrainian budget," Chornovol wrote.
According to the MP, a number of powerful lawyers and partners of Arzinger were holding key positions in government bodies at the time of conclusion of the contract to protect the interests of Rosneft.
