 ATO forces completed tanks withdrawal in Donetsk sector

Ukraine has finished the first phase of the withdrawal of artillery (of less than 100mm caliber) from the demarcation line in the Donetsk region.

Representative of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine on ATO issues Colonel Andrii Lysenko said, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraina.

"Artillery was withdrawn in several stages, the process continues. The first stage has started in the Luhansk sector: all weapons on the frontline were tracked. This process was monitored by the OSCE SMM representatives. Weapons were withdrawn at a 15 kilometers distance from the confrontation line. The plates of the weapons were checked. This process was finished in the Donetsk sector. Tank withdrawal was finished as well," Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Saturday.

Lysenko also said that the next phase is the verification of withdrawn tanks by the OSCE representatives.

"Ukraine clearly observes all the liabilities taken after signing of the Minsk agreements. We will continue doing this, because peace is a top-priority for us," Lysenko added.
