The training took place in several stages, Censor.NET reports citing the Airborne Forces of Ukraine press service.
In particular, equipment and paratrooper soldiers of a tactical group's battalion have marched under their own power and by rail transport to their concentration area. During follow-up, they conducted a scouting to the "enemy" territory, where a raid will be conducted, according to the training plan. The paratroopers established deployment places of the "enemy," found the population's attitude to it, and gathered and analyzed the received information.
During the final phase of the exercise, the troops of the battalion task force carried out maintenance of highly active and independent combat activities during the raid to the "enemy" rear.
In addition, the "winged infantry" performed combat measures against sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy and overcame mined areas, simulated explosions on a land mine, and firing ambushes. Artillery soldiers were supporting the raid actions by hitting the "enemy" targets with point fire, conducting movable and immovable screen fire, and blinding the "enemy" with artillery assets.
The "winged infantry" have also conducted medical aid and evacuation of those wounded to a mobile paratroopers' hospital. The soldiers advanced into the "enemy" territory, hitting it at various baselines.
"Given the undeclared war in the east of Ukraine, paratroopers' raids are one of the most efficient ways to conduct tasks in the enemy's rear. This is why the winged infantry regularly practice this kind of tactics. Their activities were observed by the Commander of the highly mobile assault forces of Ukraine, General-Major Mykhailo Zabrodskyi," the message reads.
