As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by representative of Ukraine to political subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on the Donbas Roman Bezsmertnyi on air of 5 Channel. When asked why the Kremlin has agreed to a relative truce in the east of Ukraine, he said:
"In my opinion, this is a tactical game. And this tactical game is an attempt to bargain a pause from the key global players and try to find some options that would reduce the impact of sanctions, as the Russian economy shrinks and dries out at a very high pace. Obviously, this poses the greatest threat to what we call "the Russian Federation," and "Putin's regime."

According to Bezsmertnyi, the conflict in the Donbas is not over yet.
"I would ask you in this case not to think that this is the end of the conflict. This is just a tactical game, and this game is changing only in emphases," he said.
