 EU countries more willing to issue visas to Ukrainians, - Minister Klimkin

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has established a working group which focuses on correcting and tackling every case of refusal to issue a visa.

This was announced today by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, Censor.NET reports citing LІGA.net.

"Speaking of obtaining visas, there is a definite progress. I can say it, because we appropriately monitor the issue. There have been less complications in getting a visa during the recent period," he said.

According to Klimkin, there have been less visa denials in 2105 compared to 2014 and 2013. "Of course we would like to have zero refusals. But there are cases of improper paperwork, there are other occasions," he said.

Klimkin reminded that the consular department of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has a working group intended to correct and tackle every case of refusal to issue a visa.

According to the minister, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry continues to engage in dialogue with the consulates of EU member states regarding the visa issue and will continue it after Ukraine attains the visa-free regime.
