Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko said at a briefing broadcasted by Channel 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
"The commission decided not to wait for permission of the owner of the vessel, which is located at a distance of 1.5 km from the coast, and to continue the rescue operation. We will lift the boat, transport it to the bank, and make sure that the number of people on board named by the captain is true because we are not sure there weren't more people on board," the minister said.
Earlier Zubko said the captain of the boat had sent no SOS signal.
